Ours is probably one of the fastest growing groups in the country, due possibly to our relaxed attitude and sense of fun. We have more than 60 members, most of them linked to our own Yahoo! group. We take our beliefs seriously but not ourselves. Members currently come from all over Middlesex, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and parts of London. Yes - some come that far and stay overnight in a B & B. Our moots often welcome visiting groups and circles. Ages and knowledge range right across the board so everyone is welcome to join in as long as they enjoy being with like minded people. You really don't have to be outgoing or particularly gregarious, we have our share of quiet folk too but we make everyone feel at home. We also have our own e-group where we can communicate with each other and share information. Click on our website (details below) for a rough overview of who we are - don't worry, it doesn't lead you onto a commercial site where we will try to sell you something! Our Inner Circle meets monthly and you can find it on this site as the Inner Wheel of Ankerwycke. Primarily a teaching group for those who want to do more than talk the talk. Other than give lists of correspondences and crystals, we pay most attention to pathworking using the magic within. Despite the ever growing size of the group, we are not attached to any commercial organisation. We have no fees for any of our activities and we won't try to sell you anything either. If you want a wand, we will show you how to make one. We don't believe that traditional witchcraft should cost money and if you want to wear a robe at rituals (no pressure there either) we aren't prescriptive in what it looks like or what colour it is. You are all clever people and who are we to make rules? We leave that to other religions! We have introduced talks at some of our moots and we have some of the most fascinating rituals around, often with reknowned guests adding brevity (!) to our evenings.
